ARRMapper Field Tool — Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

ARRMapper Field Tool ("the Tool") is a web-based field data collection application developed by Nirmalya Chatterjee for use by Tomorrow's Foundation, Tomorrow's Skills and Livelihoods Plc., and other authorised project partners engaged in afforestation, reforestation, and revegetation (ARR) carbon projects.

1. What data we collect

The Tool collects the following information when you use it:

2. How we use your data

3. Data storage

All field data is stored in Google Drive accounts managed by the respective project organisation. Google's own privacy policy applies to data stored in Google Drive: policies.google.com/privacy.

Session information (your name and selected project) is stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB and is never transmitted to any server other than Google's authentication services.

4. Google Sign-In

The Tool uses Google Sign-In (Google Identity Services) to verify your identity. This process is governed by Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The Tool receives only your email address and display name from Google — no other account data is accessed.

5. Data retention

Field data uploaded to Google Drive is retained indefinitely for audit and verification purposes, as required by carbon methodology standards. Only project administrators can delete uploaded data.

6. Your rights

If you wish to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, please contact the project administrator for your assigned project.

7. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
